My role is to look inside the body of patients who are unwell using technologies like x-rays, MRI or ultrasound. The images I capture are used to work out what disease or condition is causing the patient’s illness.

What training do I need to become a diagnostic radiographer?
A degree, or postgraduate degree in diagnostic radiography, before registering with the Health and Care Professions Council.
